Japan | Last Heisei
I remember when I was young, my parents would fill our dining table with sashimi and nigiri takeouts on a Sunday night. My grandparents would lecture our family about how they were taught by Japanese education during the Japanese colonial period. In fact, they speak fluent Japanese and I was also influenced by Japanese culture and history just by listening to their memorable stories. Japan is well known for its rich culture, tasty food, and advanced technology. It isn’t too far from my hometown, Taiwan, but it is my first time traveling to Kyoto in depth, where I have always wanted to visit. Within Kyoto, there are approximately 2000 temples, over 5000 Senbon Torii, and countless stories of traditional Japanese culture that built this nation strong. If I had ever gone to Japan with my family, it would probably have been the most excited part of my childhood memory. Nevertheless, it is never too late to create memory of one’s life or to share same memories with your friends and love ones.
